@gruntpwnsnubz The cleaning rod should be pushed down with the top inside the little notch cut out for the cleaning rod. You may have to push down on the top of the rod a little bit to get it to slide in. If you don't put the cleaning rod in correctly it will stick out just enough and you won't be able to seat the bayonet, and not only that, but in a firefight you don't want your cleaning rod falling out. On my AK I took the cleaning rod out and put it in my case.Every little bit weight helps

@TriggerHappy971 I chose to use a full magazine to emphasize that one should always remove the magazine before checking the chamber.

man i bought a bulgarian and i cant get the gastube out for nothin, its all feild stripped, what could cause this?

@savageguy25 I've seen a few AK's with similiar problems to yours. I would not panic. Are you having throuble rotating the lever?
