  • Great performance from Hildegard Behrens as Brünnhilde !

  • Wagner is the best musican in all history of music! Only he has created so melodic, so deep, and so spiritic (as burst) compositions, what harmonically rise a soul! he is the highest of professional and the best romantic!

  • I love the music, but I don't love this performance. Jerusalem looks like he's crooning. Behrens is fine. Not excellent, but more than competent. My real issue is the orchestra. It's just not powerful enough.

  • A HUMAN being finds it really hard to grasp the enormity of emotion Wagner creates.

  • it's hard to find a fifteen year old wagerian tenor

  • Jerusalem is really awful, my god! I like Behrens so much :D

  • Some of the greatest music a human being has ever written

  • See, this part of the opera I don't really get. Was it Wotan's stipulation that Brunnhilde remain on the rock forever, or did she just not want to go with Siegfried? Now that she's mortal, what does she do up there? How does she eat? Surely she can't just be sitting there staring at the ring all day long...

  • @Magnorion Your reasoning is "fucking daft".

  • @Lavalampoflava They don't come close.

  • @Magnorion Typical modern day ignorance,

  • @RVP57 You and me both sister/brother---the above visual concept cannot be topped--but there'll be some knuckleheaded Euro director who will want to reinvent the wheel--thinking they are above the intentions of Wagner's specific dramatic instructions and that of the music itself. Has anyone gone to the new Met prod?? I am VERY curious!! My best to one and all Wagner fans. He's the greatest.
