Thats a 777 engine spool-up in the background in the end of your clip! Not a 767! Hahaha!

Yeah, I know the B767-400 uses the GE CF6-80 (like those on the B747-400), but the sound starting at 1:02 is the GE90 spool-up of a B777. Try searching "Boeing 777 Takeoffs" in the YouTube search box and hit the first result. Listen to the first PIA plane and you'll know what I am talking about.

WTF, the plane was spilling fuel over the LA area?!? That's legal? Or am I misinterpreting something? Also, the plane doesn't need to be "light enough" to land.

Hey there! Love your blogs, but as a fligth attendant, I just wanted to let you know that was not an emergency landing, but a diversion (yes even though you diverted to your origin city). I am a cruise junky, so hope to see you at the desk sometime, although I never have a need to seek out help from the desk :)

two years ago ive flown from ft. meyers(florida) back to germany with "air berlin" and the engined failured after half an hour of flying and we ahd to dump fuel too, but it was a very hard landing, i never want to do this again.

I also meant to say I was really happy with this because with our late arrival, just as our taxi passed the cruise ship terminal we had a great shot of the Queen Mary 2 setting sail at night. Totally worth it!
