I didn't believe in God when left Iran, I'm so happy that I can speak Farsi. I just fell in love with those poems.

lipglossaddict13 ~ " Hope this clears things up. " No it does not. Your " no no no no noooo " is somewhat alarming. Are you anti gay I wonder? How do you know? Were you with them when they were alone together? The answer to that of course is NO. The Love between Rumi and Shams, knew no Bounds whatsoever ~ for it was Total. Who is to " claim " for certain therefore, that their Love for each other did not include sexual expression? No one.
I sense your claim herein is based in prejudice.

And there is nothing sexual about this relationship, they were good friends, best friends, it would not be easy to understand that if you are not familair with persian or eastern culture. but there is nothing sexual about it, except spiritual.

it is Balkhi, not rumi, he was born in Bukhdi, Balkh, raised there, and with his father then migrated to Konya. He is of Persian origin.

no no no no noooo. Lool Astagfirullah No. To Clarify the documentary is stating the SPIRITUAL relationship between Shamsuddin Tabrizi and Jalaludeeen Rumi. Shams was the spiritual leader of Rumi and were also great friends. They shared a deep spiritual connection and Rumi was the best of all his followers. Hope that clears things up!
