  • Yeah, alot of people are very misinformed about where the world originated from. The first Ghettos were originated during the Holocaust Era when persons of Jewish decent were forced to live in those areas.

  • Thanks Santiago

  • Thanks curlmebella! I'm always looking for food for thought! This is good :) I didn't know the origins of the word, the real definition I mean. I thought it meant a poor area where you'd find any ethnic group. Thanks for shedding some light and sharing your thoughts.

  • wow really, Im really glad you got something out of this. Thanks

  • I didn't watch the entire thing, just letting you know ahead of time. The area in which Jews were forced to live during the Holocaust was called a ghetto, as stated. The change in the word tended to go towards a term that has been used to keep different people from an ethnicity other than white down. White areas are now considered, "neighborhoods" and other neighborhoods, "ghettos". It's become a racist term that was taken back, and it's becoming very complicated to understand where it's headed.

  • Yeah..I learned a lot from this video as well! My definition of the word was the same as Tiff's comment. I agree with all of your thoughts here! Great vid!!! :-)
