Damn ... Seriously, I love strange and different aircraft design but ... and I'm not trying to start an argument or be a smart ass ... but that thing just looks inherently crashable and dangerous. Was it really worth the cost? Was it/is it used that much, successfully and efficiently? It looks like an experiment gone wrong.

You could build 3 different helicopters with 50 billion dollars in research money. the V22 is just a cold war leftover. If you want a helicopter to fly fast, just use a coaxial rotor.

@ddioppp oh okay I guess I have no idea what Im talking about lol
-
@zazszdzfzgzhzjzkzlzx the c-130 is alot bigger :p
-
@ddioppp why wouldnt it have as much firepower? isnt it a lot bigger than a c130?
-
@zazszdzfzgzhzjzkzlzx it would have anywhere near as much firepower as an AC-130. and i dont see why they would make a gunship out of this.
-
@ddioppp I just dont see WHY it couldnt be used as a gunship
-
@zazszdzfzgzhzjzkzlzx you cant compare a tiltrotor aircraft with a four engined cargo plane.
-
@ddioppp are they not both transport vehicles?
-
@zazszdzfzgzhzjzkzlzx the v-22 does not fulfil the role of the C-130 so i doubt there will be AV-22. C-130 and V-22 are not meant for the same purpose.
Well he sure doesnt know vertical from horizontal.

why is everyone complaining about the cost, how long did it take all of the "car companies to research and develope "hybrid" cars , do you think you're not going to pay for all that research in the long run, you bet you are, don't whine and bitch until you start looking at the big picture, You're hybrid car may last 6-8yrs tops , the "osprey" will last 20-30 yrs
