Jim,
We enjoyed hiking with you all over the July 4th holiday. Thanks for your help navigating around the shining rock wilderness. You even unknowingly helped on Sunday, as we saw your tracks on the beginning of the Little East Fork trail and knew we were going the right way. Thanks for the cameo on the TPEDH episode, it's true, the camera does add ten lbs. even when you've barely eaten for a day and just hiked 7 miles straight uphill.
Thanks again,
Graham, Beth, Madison, and Delilah

Shari,
I am just so proud of you.
In your notes to them, send your doctors the links for the videos. Let both your orthodepic doctor and your oncologist actually see you.
Can't wait to see the rest of this.

This past Friday July 10 I took my brother in law from California to Cold Mountain via Art Loeb and he was amazed and suprised of how strenous it was...I could relate with your family because that last little climb before Deep Gap gets your heart and lungs pounding but I love it!I bet you guys and girls had a blast and the filming was great...we saw a garter snake, newt, dozens of snails but no black bear...did you guys see any animals?

Hello old friend, it was a great hike. glad you got out too. it was like an amusement park in Shining Rock on the Fourth of July- well not quite, but every camp site was taken! Never seen it so busy. saw a few snails, but too many dogs for any wildlife.
