http://www.begbucks.com Do you ever find yourself in a situation where all you have is a light fixture & you need to plug in an electrical cord for your low draw electrical items? Well introducing the Light Socket Electrical Adapter. This is not a new design by any stretch & has been around for decades. (There are even some from the 1930's that screw in just as a plug & won't allow a bulb to be screwed into them though these seem more common by comparison)

This is particularity viable for stealth camping applications or those of you who reside in storage units ;) for instance. (just the thing you need for your laptop although I have run soft start 5,000 BTU Window AC's with setup - the key is to find that the socket that this screws into is rated to support your desired current load or else you can risk meltdown!) ~ enjoy!

  • FUNNY HOW SIMPLE IT IS......

    YET OUTSLICKED EM ALL......

  • @DIXIECONFEDERATEDAWG Yes indeed, thanks for noting..;)

I made this video since there is not another like it. Another 90+ yearold design forgotten.

  • i think im going to get some more b/c that was a great idea you gave me for stealth camping and bug out

  • @hoserinacanoe You could run your stuff thru a Kill a Watt meter to log usage if accused of using more. The EX P4460 model will save info even if you turn off the power load so there is no guessing game.

  • @Darknessinpit57 Ahh the dinky chain... adds an Art Deco theme doesn't it?

  • @Darknessinpit57 It's interesting however that they are becoming elusive to catch these days;)

  • @hoserinacanoe Glad to oblige, just remember if the donor comes light is say 100 or 150 watts (my device is rated at 250 watts), if you plug in a CF or LED light that uses only 16- 23 watts perhaps it's not really unethical to use the difference imo.

Campground & public restrooms, parks (when the ranger is away for the night) & even some vacant shopping centers & office parks are cool places to hook up. Next select your cord like a flat 16 or 18 AWG & wrap with camo tape since most are white.

  • @hoserinacanoe Cool; you should get more while they last. eBay also has them occasionally.

  • i pick 2 lastweek and thay only have one place in town that sells thim
