  • It is indeed possible to stretch and reach back from the cockpit and touch the propeller. The briefing to passenger obviously includes a restriction on waving greetings to anyone and the wearing of silk scarf or baseball caps as well as being tied in and seated before running the engine. We do fly around with the canopy removed and everything needs to be secured. Visibility is unrestricted but extremely noisy even when wearing muffled helicopter helmets.

  • Hahaaa never thought I'd find a volmer online.. my dad has one.. totally unairworthy though. He doesn't seem to think so

  • Not the best airplane or boat but it's a whole lot of fun :o)

  • Spinning it is definitely not on our to-do list :o)

  • Whew having changed it to a tractor config w/ that prop spinning above my head would make me all kinds of nervous!

  • Nice Volmer. The tractor engine should improve the water take-off and climb performance. My the vertical centre of gravity must be very high with that engine right up there.. Whatever you do don't spin it as that was proven fatal in the 60,s with a tractor Volmer.

  • Nice video. the music and the editing .. good job! I wasn't sure it was your voice till half way through.
