I put together a pair of traditional running sandals based on a design from the Tarahumara tribe from Mexico. These people are known for their ultra marathon abilities

  • They'll work better in the wet if you leave the rubber tops showing instead of covering it with animal skin.

  • @sharkman91 this is an ethical problem I have with them using the animal hide. I have made some others with cut of soles from an old pair of racing flats. and using hemp twine for lacing.

  • Personally I love my Vibram Five Fingers, highly recommended!

  • @TexRage21 Hey tex I am going to put up a report on a problem with them, in so much that if you suffer from what is known as Mortons toe, do not use the vibrams. I have now been unable to run for a month because it has some how damaged my toe to the point of acute discomfort to the point of finding walking is painful. I have had an xray which show no breaks, I am still looking for an answer

  • @watzzupsport First of all I apologize for not watching some of your other videos and making a comment at the first video I saw. I read up on your condition, and then watched your Vibram Five Finger Review. I find your video's interesting, and was astonished at the price of Vibram's in your country. I too am starting to transition to barefoot running, ran 3 miles today barefoot, although pavement and asphalt are not ideal trails.

  • @TexRage21 The best thing I can advise you on mate is to take it slow, and strengthen your feet and all the ligaments that are most likely weak from not being used . You will find you will get soreness through your calves even with short runs so be gentle on your self and do not rush.

Walk, run Galloway type training is good, something like run for 5mins walk 1min for 30mins. Or just walk, hard surfaces do encourage you to get your forefoot landing form.

  • wow fabio looks a lot older without makeup

  • @watzzupsport I appreciate the advice, going to attend my first marathon in November so I am trying all that I can to maintain healthy eating habits, and work on running form and breathing technique. The best thing I can do is just rest and allow for soreness to take it's path. Hope to see more videos!

  • Sweet. Truth is, I'm jealous. I'd have the bald mullet if I grew my hair as long as yours.

  • Ha Ha as it so happens I spent 12 years as a lighting director for bands and shows across Australia. Sunnyboys, Mondo Rock, heck man I even did gigs with skyhooks, guess I am just a legend in my own lunch box :-)
