silo - alien desert

took this in the desert outside of palmdale last night. scaired the bejeezus outa my wife and kid.

I've been screwin around with an array of dish antennaes and takin the mixed signal and filtering the noise with this cluster I've got running in my garage. the AD filters were the harderest part, but I've really just duplicated work that other people have done before, and five years later, I got something. see my other videos for that.

a week or so later, this freakin thing is cutting the lines that lead to my house out there in the desert. I'm writing this from - elsewhere, and have stopped my downloading. it's from orion's belt. I encourage the seti folks to point over there.

it's live action. the poles are sticks, the wires are thread, and the model is a paper model about 2" tall. the rocks are rocks. shot against blue screen, then the moon and clouds and explosions/smoke added in afterfx.
