A Logic Pro Quik-E Video showing how to get audio to the Instrument tracks so that you can use tools like "The Finger" and other Instruments that offer real-time manipulation of audio. I've had lots of request on how to set up Logic Pro to get these instruments to work..... so here you go!

  • Awesome video. I'm wondering if the Finger accessible through Kore Player is the same as the Finger R2 through Reaktor or if they are two different programs?

  • @MatrixMeditations - Well, Kore Player just went bye-bye, unfortunately. You should still be able to use this thru the Reaktor player and it will have more functionality. Using it with Reacktor gives you the most flexibility and you can save your own presets...... AFAIK, they don't make multiple versions of this....

  • can you tell me where you got the image files for modifying the logic interface. i've done this before but i like the look of your volume meters with the db measurements on it. cheers

  • @revillsimon - watch at 1:47. All the details you need are there.....

  • I'm still confused. Can I get a step by step please? I want to be able to use it the second way u were doing it. When u were sending through a midi track.

  • do a video for the mouth!!

  • Dude. You rock! I haven't done sidechained fx forever. I just got NI Komplete 7 and I use logic and wasn't sure how to set up finger. This was soooo helpful. Thanks man.

  • @Jimbomohn Same problem here. Freaking 5 hour installation or so and it still doesn't work properly AaaaAAAh!!!!

  • @robbieflom Bounce it to an audio track.. audio tracks can be bussed. Or open it as an effect an use your mouse. But if you want to control it with the keyboard you will have to route your sessions different from the get go, or bounce it to audio and then modulate the main the same way you would in the video

  • @ralfieo If you want to use it on the master track. You can do it one of two ways. I recommend the second way, but the first way is to bounce it all to an audio file as if you were done with the track. Open an audio track with your completed audio file on it and bus and side chain as in the video and it will work. I would recommend bus groups to aux or audio tracks for everything.. then each of the groups to another audio track.. then the main output is just a main fader and you can mod them all

  • @robbieflom I'm having the same problem you can't bus a master audio track. Please Answer!!!
