I do not know any other player that goes so directly and intentionally for the winners like RF. He just knew what to do and he was always step ahead in thinking. The best ever.

@fbinsulation i.e. haas does favour playing from the baseline or serve volleying he ias he showed against novak beating by serve volleying 77% in the match fed prefer to stay back though he is adept at serve volleying haas can choose to do one or the other so at any point in a rally he can come to net as he does nto favour one style

Federer doesn't need to change his game...he needs to go back to playing like this.

Whoever said not at all has pretty lousy observation. Federer's forehand backswing is slightly different than a few years before. Only those who has knownledge knows this!

saying anyone is a "poor-man's" [someone else] is a huge insult. That's like saying he is worse in every department

I can think of two areas where Haas is BETTER than Fed. One is willingness to completely change tactics, e.g. play more aggressively. He was able to beat Djokovic twice on grass in 2009 this way, and gave Rafa a tough match in the AO 2009.

Second area: resilience. The guys had the most injuries on tour and yet bounces back time and again. he will be back, mark my words..
