Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren has made long-term work and have few major problems to solve before next season. The team cornerstones Daniel Briere, Mike Richards, Chris Pronger, Kimmo Timonen, Jeff Carter, Simon Gagne and Scott Hartnell are all under contract for at least another year. But the Flyers do not have a given first goalie to the 2010-11 season if nothing is done this summer. Holmgren has chosen a solution where the goalie game not afford.

That would be sweet, but if they get anything less than a championship I think we have to get someone this offseason. Goalies seem to be able to capture lightning in a bottle. I remember when we rode Boucher to the conference finals back in 2000 and thought the was gonna be the guy, but his play never reached that level again. I'm afraid Leighton could be the same case.
