Adam Hughes is one of our most talented comic book artists. He has a huge following of fans who dote on his stylized drawings of women, who come from his pen both feminine and powerful. He started early. He got his first comic gig at the age of 19, doing both interior and cover work for Maze in 1985. Four years later, he moved to mainstream comics, doing two years for DC Comic's Justice League. Then in 1990, he switched to doing only covers. Within the next eight years, he was producing some of the best comic covers ever seen, including four years of great Wonder Woman covers, as well as covers for Buffy, Ghost, Hammer of the Gods, Gen-13, Frankenstein Mobster, Vampirella, and a host of other major comics. The first three Hero Worships dedicated to Adam Hughes examined Wonder Woman, Cat Woman, and Lara Croft, three of his favorite heroines. This one, the fourth, is a homage to the surprisingly wide variety of other heroes and heroines lucky enough to reach his sketch pads. Music is from the "Egmont Overture," by Ludwig van Beethoven.

  • Another great one. I really like the 'pen, ink and color' sequences that you're doing.

    Peace.

  • Guess I can't keep doing Hughes forever. I'll have to move on to other notables as I find them.

  • Here is someone at the peak of their art, perfecting licensed characters and coming up with unique original content. The one entitled Sirius Bitches reminded me of Sucker Punch.

  • I just love Emma Frost!!!
