Caution: Handle the hard-drive by holding it by its sides. Do not touch any of the components in your PC other than the case and cables.
Tools needed: Screwdriver, 4 screws for hard drive (sometimes they are supplied), 1 SATA data cable. Antistatic wrist strap is recommended but not essential. Earth yourself by touching a radiator.
For best viewing watch this in full screen at 720p.
Do the work on a table, not carpet.
Step 1: Un-screw both side panels of your case. 2 screws usually on each.
Step 2: Slide your hard drive into a free 2.5" bay, and screw 2 screws on each side.
Step 3. Find a spare SATA power cable from the power leads that come from the power supply unit. Clip this into the power port on the hard drive, on the far left.
Step 4. Clip in your SATA data cable to the hard drive. Then slot it into a spare SATA port on your motherboard.
Step 5. Slide case panels back on, screw them back on,
