The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is the largest college system in the nation, whose commitment towards education and sustainability is changing the lives of students and surrounding communities. LACCD has adopted various green policies through out all of its nine community colleges such as, green buildings, renewable energy strategies, water conservation, recycling and alternative transportation methods. Through these green initiatives LACCD, its students and the community have taken a vital step toward taking action in preserving our environment for present and future generations.
