Improvisation & Soloing.
(I had to edit this so youtube would let me upload it. All FZ music had to go, so go and buy his albums you wont regret it.
I know it wasn't a very smooth editing job, but the content is there, enjoy.)

  • @heeerro I won't go to saying that every one of his solos are memorable, but I can definitely spend 15 minutes listening to one of his long solos and follow his patterns and thinking and not get bored one single second. Of course this means you need to stay concentrated...if you drift away, it will end up sounding annoying and noisy. Concentration is what one needs to listen to FZ !

  • frank zappa's compositions were sledge hammers of delight.

  • ask Dweezil and Gail if you can upload it.... and then link it to their sites... no promises but they might dig having access to it....

  • he was shit

  • only in it for the money and those early ones were impressive compositions- I wonder what he would have come up with if he kept up with composition instead of going into being and instrumentalist.

  • NICE JOBB MAN ,THANKS!

  • his solos were more atmasheric than anything , you just have to listen an fall into the moment

  • All the commentators on this are former band members (in order of speaking in the intro): Patrick O'Hearn, Bruce Fowler, Chester Thompson, George Duke, Tommy Mars

  • would love to know who the voice overs are from in the intro, especially the d-bag zappa haters

  • City of tiny lights was his masterpiece guitarsolo, just the first five notes are epic
