  • @matthewmango

    how is it until today?

  • @dubbledee511 what's it cost?

  • Mold only can grow on paper and wood and organic substances. There are none of these in the Owens Corning system. I also LOVE it....everyone talks about it being expensive, but I think it was worth EVERY PENNY.....the Lifetime warranty also guarantees that I'll never have to pay to finish my basement again!! It looks great, much better than moldy drywall. I actually had a flood this winter, but you'd never know it by being in my basement....VERY happy!!!

  • I have this system and absolutely love it!

  • That's an awfully flimsy explanation. Do you have any sources? Paper traps moisture, and it has no vapor barrier... Same with drywall. And as a contractor, I've seen plenty of disgusting, rotted fiberglass. Even as a renter- the place I'm renting now is filled with rotting fiberglass that's dripping from the ceiling of the basement.

  • thats how fiberglass works, its doesnt trap moisture bc there is no vapor barrier

  • How?

  • fiberglass insulation breathes and insulates at the same time.

  • Most experts will tell you it is a good idea to "float" the walls you install from the basement walls. I have never seen or hear of anyone advocate anchoring directly to the basement wall.

  • instead of some blowhard marketing video, why didn't they show real 'before' and 'after' of real basements (instead of the 'studio' make believe basement).

  • How does it simultaneously keep the heat in the basement and also let the basement walls "breathe"?
