An informal performance of David Rakowski's 59th piano étude, a staccato-legato étude. This was recorded in Amy's house in May, 2008 on a Flip Video Ultra. "Zecca" is an Italian word for "tick", and the title "Zeccatella" -- a play on the word "tarantella" -- was suggested by Geoffrey Burleson as the name of an imagined dance one would do when bitten by a tick. The composer himself had been bitten by a tick at the artist colony Yaddo while writing this piece. Rakowski's études are copyright © by CF Peters.
