This happened to my grade 4 class at the Calgary zoo. But we were less than ten feet away and protected only by a waist-height cement wall and railing. Poops (although it was significantly more liquid-ish than in this video) and flaps its tail to spread it around. an entire elementary school's worth of 9-year-olds ranging from heavily soaked to thickly blotched to thoroughly misted with hippo feces. Pandemonium ensued. Now they have a sign up warning of hippo territory-marking habits.
