The cashier girl, at the end of the commercial, is hot!! I wish this commercial was in HQ.

The whole "nazi/communist" thing is pretty overdone these days, but you nailed it on the head; this is one step beyond the confrontation scene of Battleship Potemkin. Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times showed a similar scene but he didn't shy away from depicting the gears of modern automation as actually dangerous. At best it was a knowing, sad joke.
I like that little robot-hand noise they make every time a credit card gets swiped...credit cards don't make that noise, so...

Funny thing - this video was linked by The Street with the following quote:
"Wall Street has worked hard to persuade us to use debit cards instead of cash. In a series of Visa(V) ads, out-of-it customers who pay with cash throw a monkey wrench into the well-oiled cogs of commerce: [video]
Now they're telling us we're a drain on their finances? Because of a habit they helped create?"

WOW! Utter propaganda - and not even disguised - just right in you face.
The sickest part is the dehumanizing aspect of making people (human beings) out to be like robots! The individual is seen as an annoyance - very nazi/communist message!

Propaganda at its finest.

Always pay cash. It is private.

That man's wallet did 9/11.
This commercial and the concept it promotes is such BS. I was in line today at my local deli and everyone pays cash and a typical transaction take 10 seconds. Then this idiot pulls out his Visa card to buy a cup of coffee and doughnut ($3.50) and the transaction took nearly two minutes.

It's a shame that using cash is now frowned upon. Everyone wants you to get credit cards and stupid stuff like that.
