The wedding of Brandon & Tommy 4-24-04.

Brandon and Tommy are divorced now but this video captures gay marriage history in OREGON from April 2004 where over 3000 Gay & Lesbian couples were married in Portland OR making history.

Great news! Oregon's domestic partner law [HB 2007] is in effect now and couples are registering as domestic partners for the same legal rights and protections marriage provides. Special thank you to the amazing BASIC RIGHTS OREGON and Gov. Ted Kulongoski who signed this legislation into law.

I get a lot of confusion about these videos from YOU TUBE viewers and people do not seem to understand why I have posted them. I have personal and political reasons but main reason is that we need to keep a spotlight on the issue. The recent supreme court victory in California is a huge win for gay marriage and may pave the road for the remaining states.

Even though my marriage ended in divorce does not mean that I do not believe in the dream I think this is a civil rights issue and we are all entitled to equal rights in this country.

Keep the dream alive.
