@6leafdom pencak silat varies it's attacking trget to confuse and surprise it's opponent. so, there are no rules how you hit and where you hit an opponent. even so, in pencak silat, we always think that whatever we taught is just like building a canvas. you paint it with your experiences and your own abilities and limitations.

many fighting styles other than muay thai also includes elbow technique. silat also have varies elbow techniques. in malaysia also have the silat that more spesifically on elbow. however if you watching carefully in this video the elbow silat techniques is very different than other martial art including muay thai. you can find the differences in term of application of the elbow and at the attacking/distruction point.

i dont get why u need to bend down and elbow someone's leg when u can use ur lower line weapon such as ur own knee? isn't that more effective and more efficient?

"Effective" and "Efficient" are in the eye of the beholder. How much smaller is Bambang to me? He can reach my feet WAY better than he can reach my head, period. Of course you can use the knee as well...Unless you're shooting for a different counter. In Pencak Silat, one size does NOT fit all.
Open your eyes. You could have seen this in the video without asking.

Yes. There's no "exact spot" per se, just a generalization. You clip whatever target presents itself to you.
