Some flying with HBV2 at nice winter weather. It was around -15C (5F) and light wind. EDIT: It was -20C or less at the time we were at the field.

Later I wen't back for more, but end up crashing, I have no video, but I took picture about the damage. Quick cost estimate is around 15-20€ depending where to buy and what's really broken.

I've been postin "My Progress With Belt CP V2" videos. And I bought this HBV2 for some additional practise and stress free fun little over month ago. I haven't been flying it much, less than 10 times, but it's always lots of fun. I really like this heli.

  • Hi, nice flying. But in my opinion is too cold (-20 wow) to fly this plastic helis. I think the linkage holding blades broke off cause of beeing frozen. It looks like swashplate, flybar, rotor head, center hub,...etc. is gone. RC711 is nice for this parts, cheap shipping, but you already know :)

  • You might be right, at the time I thought it was some -15 max, but I didn't realize it got colder so quickly. When I crashed later, it might of been even little colder, as it was near -25c when I got home. But hard to say wether something actually did broke or did I just screw up real good. I've check the damage and I believe I get away with 18€ shipped, so not bad, but it's few weeks on the shelve, then again, it's few month cold weather. How is your flying going ? hopefully better :)

  • for sure that looked like some good fun there! sorry about the crash, orderd the parts yet? maybe a cnc kit can take crashes like that without much damage ;)

  • It was. I'm about to order, but I don't think there is cnc kit yet. I wouldn't mind one though :)
