Driving south on west 7th I turn my camera on when I see a column of smoke to our south. We turn right at Starkweather and drive up to Thurman Alley where I settle in on a shot of fireman shooting water on the flames of the burning house at the corner of Professor and Starkweather. I hang around until the fire is pretty much under control. Near the end a fireman who was hit in the helmet by falling debris is taken away in an Ambulance. For you Tremont nostalgia and history buffs there's nice shots of turn of the last century W.7th, the old projects, the old Browns Market, Thurman Alley and Starkweather. Interestingly this little area is quite the happening spot nowadays. New homes have been built on the spot where this fire took place, new projects and three or four new businesses in close proximity.
