I know! xD Bass clarinets are never important D:
When I played this song, we didn't have any bassoons for whatever reasons, so I got the big solos too :3

@ragdollfaerie do you play bassoon by chance?
-
This is actually a pretty good run, but the balance could have been better, and the melody could be shaped better. I'm a first chair clarinet and I've played the piece; the piece shows very clearly how the phrase should be emphasized. They just kind of plowed through it. The technical apesct was great, but musicality overall could be a lot better.

We're playing this piece for a competition this year in band. My best friend is a bassoon, and I'm a bass clarinet and we play the same part. Can't wait! :'D

ahh, i'm sure you did fine. :P i'm playing that this year and i'm the only bassoonist too.
Seriously why is everyone so damn critical? These are just ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Instead of pointing out EVERY SINGLE FLAW YOU SEE OR HEAR y'all should try to find the good things. Rotten rotten people. That's my biggest pet peeve about musicians. Instead of building each other up, you would rather tear people down. I guess that makes you feel good, doesn't it? Rotten....
