I remember a Kirby sales man giving us a demo of this vacuum when I was a little kid around 1985 and I never forgot it. I think they quoted us around $800 which was a lot of money back then. My parents didn't buy it because they are too cheap (and we were poor back then), but I was really impressed with it. I have a Kirby Diamond addition now that I got on Ebay for $200 with all the attachments. I love it.

I'm restoring a freebie heritage II that was left in storage after years of 'abuse' in a sporting goods store. Although the Tradition was the first to feature paper bags, it seams the 2HD had the shakeout bag as an option such as the Heritage II that I inherited. I just polished her to a like new shine. I have a power cord, a mini emptor, cloth bag, and brush roll on order. Next step for the sucker is eBay.

Yeah. It still run nice and smooth. It been serviced twice. The first was when the origninal fan broke while we was vacuuming with the hose we heard a loud pop like a quarter was picked up and the motor slowed down and started humming and had no suction I knew what it was because the same thing happened with my Hoover Convertible it was loud. The second time the Mini Em-Tor cracked.
