  • Have you sorted this yet? chris

  • @vjmwau I just took her out after the winter season, before I put her away it seemed like I fixed it, had a guy check it out and he said it has to be the advancer so i took it out and greased it, the other day i turned it on and it was doing the same thing as before, only running on two cylinders. I dont know whats up with this bike but i might take it apart again and rebuild and rewire

  • i aint no expert .... but my harley did that..... i found an exhaust leak.... fixed it and the problem went away...!!!

  • @883WAYNE I do have a tiny leak coming from the 4th header, ill see if i fix that tomorrow

  • Running better than my '78. :(

  • Dont know if you sorted this out yet. But I see you have pods and after market Hi-flow exhaust, and let me tell you, there could be shim issues, leaks, and timing problems and you should still be able to get down the street; especially if it idles well. If you hav'nt yet you need to jet up. if you go to pod filters you jet up, and if get new exhaust you jet up, and if you do both you jet up doubly so. my bike did the exact same thing. jet up, still jumpy jet up more and lift you needle.

  • Hi mate, I am almost sure it will be the shims need doing, they are under bucket so you need to remove the cams to do them, be sure to measure the current clearences first though. I had the same bike and was forever trying to get it to run right until I met a guy who put me on the right track. Hope it works for you too.Chris
