Have not heard this song by Chad Mitchell and the trio in years. Man does it bring back memories to when I saw them in Concert at Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, North Carolna as a teen. I am 62 now. You were great guy's....and YOU ARE STILL GREAT. tHANKS AGAIN FOR THE GREAT SOUND AND MUSIC.

Agree chopper, it's stuck in my head. Love these guys.
I'd probably buy the Cd if I didn't have it all in my head. I was actually searching for "The Virgin Mary Had Baby Boy" - again their version is best by far - and Old Bill was just the way i remember vocally. But the bluesy 12 string creams it! Was that a Mitchell or dear Mr mcGuinn? I met him 2 years ago in a Lisbon fado club. Always had a great ear for acoustic quality that lad...

@mikecburns - by the time of this album ("Reflecting" - 1964) McGuinn is backing the Limeliters right before running off to start the Byrds. 12 string here is by Paul Prestopino. BTW - "Virgin Mary"is uploaded on my channel. BTW2 - these uploads are for articles on my blog - if you Google "Comparative Video 101 Tell Old Bill" you'll get to an article with this and six other versions of the song.

I wish someone would remaster their albums and release them on CD. I'd buy a boxed set priced anywhere under $25 for each album.

Hi David - Actually, most of the albums ARE on CD. Go to Amazon, search Chad Mitchell Trio CDs, and you'll find most (but not all) of the original releases. A great group - I saw them two weeks ago in concert here in southern California, and they still sound great (original members and accompanists!).
