@LiangHuBBB The hunger games is based on a book written by someone completely different from the person who wrote the book Battle Royale is based off of. It is not an American version of Battle Royale. Check your facts before you state them

Okay, I'm not looking for a fight but gosh people, clam the heck down. BR looks more like a gore movie and THG looks more like a rebellion and heartwarming story. Don't get me wrong, BR looks good and I'm sure suzann collins got some inspiration from this, but the rest of THG story line is nothing like this.

@pppfan103 Whilst not exactly a 'ripoff', The Hunger Games was released about 10 years after Battle Royale, and has an almost identical premise. That alone should raise some eyebrows. The only real difference is that Battle Royale does it a little better.

@tonitonks No. Half of it's a rehash of the first movie (with worse actors), and the other half is fucking boring and doesn't lead anywhere. And there are laughable scenes like the rugby dive at the end which were intended to be taken seriously.
