@MsCellobass yes but is what you are playing considered a cello or an upright? I kinda need to know because I am considering in getting one.

@eschelar Hi, by ditching the Ns Stick, are you talking about my bow? Or my instrument? Because the Ns Stick is an 8 stringed tapping instrument you can see in my other videos. :)

Brilliant backing track. Truly Lovely!
Time to ditch that NS Stick though. It's picking up all the sliding in your bow. That works with the ethereal tone in this song, but every NS I've heard so far seems to bring that out.
Alternatively, you could try a high attack Black hair shank for your bow.

Wonderful! Is that a bass or cello?

@MsCellobass Hi, thank you, well the idea behind this instrument is to have a duel role as an upright bass and cello as well, so it is a hybrid of both instruments in one design. :)

Hi John-
I have a Chapman Grand stick and I have been looking at the NS Bass Cello ("omnibass" now) for quite awhile. I've been wondering if it might be possible to combine tapping with bowing on the NS bass cello. I know it's a fretless instrument which makes tapping a bit less optimal, but there are fretless Chapman sticks so I was curious. Since you are a player of a tapping instrument as well I thought you might be the best person to ask! Thanks so much for your opinion-

@UnseenOnAndOn Hi, the thing is, the action has to be set high for bowing, so you will find it harder to tap. I do it at times for certain lines, but for simpler phrases then would have been done on a tapping instrument(I like to do sliding phrases when tapping the bass cello), but for me, the beauty of the omni shines when layering it over recorded tapping lines like I did in this video. Hope that helps! :) John

oh sorry, I meant the bass cello thing. Not too keen on the sound of the NS cello. You played it better than it sounded.
The stick thing sounds pretty cool. I assumed it was a guitar. I was listening, not reading. sorry.

@ProLiteNews Cool thank you for the kind words :) I actually love the sounds of the Ns line of instruments but thank you for sharing your thoughts, I always experiment with the different tones I can get, so I'll keep your thoughts in mind.
