Hi there I have an engine that I am looking to get rebuilt. i am in Hemet, CA. Looking for someone to let me know what I am getting into. I have a 1972 porsche 914 1.7L... I want to get a little more performance out of it than it offers stock. All ideas welcome.

i have a chance to buy a 2.0l motor how would i or could i fit it in my 57 oval can you please let me know what i would be getting in to be for i invest can i use my trans things like that

@schantzmd ,,hi there I have exactly the same question..2.0 bus engine into bug..how doable it is in order to have a closeable trunk??

Hi there. In order to fit this in you bug you'll have to either do a Cali-Conversion or install a Raby DTM kit. The Cali-Conversion is cheaper but more labor intensive and requires you to cut and weld a type I cooling system to type IV tins and fabricate a generator mount. You'll also have to remove the pancake style fan assembly and replace it with a type I style crank pulley. There's a couple other little things too but these boxes don't allow a lot to be typed, Thanks, Mike.
