California Condors on Highway One, Big Sur

California Condor hopping around on a rock on the side of Highway 1. The condor is picking apart an aluminum can that was littered on the highway. Things like this will exterminate the species.

Jim,
Why do you want these birds to go extinct?

So that the socialists in Sacramento will lose another weapon in their war against gun owners and hunting. The lead ammo ban is total bullshit.

By the way, this applies to far more than gun rights- since the 1970s, whenever property owners find an endangered species on their land, the first thing they do is exterminate it to prevent the feds from imposing restrictions on property use.

Animal protection laws have the opposite effect that the tree huggers would intend.

Some people say the zoo-raised condors are too tame, but, well nowadays zoo-raised is about 90% of the ones left. Great photos.
