This wasn't Carlos and Abdullah's first fight together, this one was a few weeks after. I was at the first match they had. It was so huge in PR that almost 30,000 people showed up to the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in Hato Rey, PR. At that time the Stadium only held about 20,000 and they had to open the field and floor area even though the floor seats were originally numbered. Not one more soul could fit there. The noise level was deafening when Carlos tagged Abdullah for the first time.

I surely love Abby’s face at the 1:11 mark when Carlos paid him some and got outta the room LOL. Whoa, Stan & Brody against Carlos & Abby in Puerto Rico!? I cannot help but feel how hot that night was in the summer of 1984!!! Back then, Abby couldn’t face off with Stan & Brody at the same time in the ring, because he was in NJPW and they were working in AJ. ’84 was the very first year Stan showed up in WWC. I recollect him saying like, “I’ve been asked for a while by Frank to come over here."
