East Canyon, Utah. Fishing March 1, 2010

I'm up at East Canyon Reservoir fishing with some friends. The whole lake is still frozen but the river is open to some great fishing for some nice size Rainbows. Make sure you fish where the ice shelf meats the river (it's a sweet spot!)

The pass going up and into East Canyon is closed during most of the winter, but there is a dirt road starting at Jeremy Ranch that will take you straight to the lake and back (there is not much winter maintenance on that road, so make sure you have four wheel drive or chains.)

You can also drive up to Weber canyon and down through Morgan (which is a beautiful drive.) It just takes a little longer.

@deanybum77 Gosh, I envy you. I've always grown up in cities and visited the outdoors. Maybe one day I can settle in a place like Morgan. : ) I'll be sure to post some other videos of East Canyon Reservoir this summer. I'm actually going camping there this weekend!

@kookooDragonballs i love it up here i honesly dont think i will ever leave the place. and east canyon is such a convinece for what my family likes to do haha. boating, fishing,camping. its just great!

@deanybum77 Lucky! That would be so cool to live so close to East Canyon. I love driving up through Morgan. It's so gorgeous! My wife and I are going camping at the new camp grounds just south of the lake. Oh...camping and fishing! Yeehaw!
