  • @leahumphreys I'm honored you're interested in my opinion. In my humble opinion, covers are meant for those who wish to honor a particular song that they fancy. now in "honoring" a song, comes a sticky situation, what is "honoring"? can't tell you that, it's subjective to everybody. i think thats where you and I differ in opinions. Not in what you're supposed to do in a cover, as i said "i understand wanting to put your own touch on it", but what is "honoring"?

    farewell random youtuber,

  • how is this a cover? lol i understand wanting to put your own touch on it but... lol what happen to the song? you basically stole the lyrics and made your own song rather than cover it. I hope I constructively critiqued your video. if not I apologize for hating.

  • This video should be titled "Chick on crystal meth sings Juicy in the style of nails of the chalkboard"

  • This is hilarious because Biggie hated this type of shit. And she was too afraid to say Nigga. LOL.

    This is awful.

  • @canjooo when did you start listening to music or paying attention to your surroundings? It had to have been this morning because what you're referring to is called sampling. It happens all the time and up until the late sixties it was more rare to play an original song than one from another artist. Skipping forty years of examples, it is now more common to "sample" just the hook or bridge. This has nothing to do with ethics.

  • @23chema23 sorry, but you've seem to have missed my point. whether you call it a cover or remake is not my concern. what I am regarding as dishonor, is using somebody else's music to promote yourself and your own type of music without their permission. I actually think Emily is very talented and unique in her own way, but to mangle somebody else's song without the rights to the song is down right unprofessional, unethical, and disrespectful.

So call it what you will, a cover or remake. Cheers!

  • I just think she slowed down the some of the original beats and added her own samples. She does have a great voice

  • WHATEVER TO ANYONE THAT HAS ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS COVER. I LOVE BIGGIE, AND I LOVE EMILY. I WISH BIGGIE WAS STILL WITH US, SUPER TALENTED ARTIST LIKE EMILY HONOR HIM EVERY TIME THEY KEEP HIS WORDS FLOWING! YOU SING THIS IN YOUR CAR? IN YOUR SHOWER? IN YOUR ROOM ALL BY YOURSELF? SHE GETS IN FRONT OF PEOPLE AND MAKES THEM REMEMBER AND FEEL THAT RAD ASS VIBE THAT WILL ALWAYS BE BIGGIE. AND SHE IS SUPER TALENTED.... LOOK HER UP BEFORE YOU TALK. I MISS BIGGIE, AND I THANK EMILY FOR THIS

  • NIGGA

  • i bet biggie loves it ..

  • @chanjoooo Fair enough, let's call it a remake, and a damn good one at that! I don't think anyone intended on dishonoring the song or anything by calling it a cover, it's just a semantic misunderstanding of the subtleties of the term.

    Cheers!

  • "Juicy" is one of those songs you could listen to the rest of your life and never get tired of....how can you take a song like that and make it so boring....
