• Contest - Quiksilver Backyard Burnout: Quiksilver put together one of the best events of the year at Pat's backyard mini ramp. With the Murth Bar flowing, DJ Steak heading up the music and 40 of SA's best skaters in the house, how could you go wrong!
• Weekend - Polokwane: AV ventures up to less chartered terrain - Pietersburg in Polokwane - to find some surprisingly good spots and good times. Featuring Wandile Msomi, Kanya Spani, Jansen van Staden, Charl Steyn, Thabo Nage, JP Du Preez, Anthony de Mendonca and more.
• Field Trip - Fallen Tour: The Fallen South Africa Tour... These dudes properly killed it: Tommy Sandoval, Brian Hansen (Slash), Garrett Hill, Billy Marks, Anthony Schultz, Jack Curtin and Tom Asta destroying spots and parks in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
• Contest - Maloof Money Cup: Anyone vaguely into skateboarding in South Africa should have made the mission to witness this for real - it surely seemed like the whole skate army was there. It was debaucherous fun, chaos beyond belief (especially in the campsite) and the best contest and skating we've seen in a long time! Here's the highlights.
• Close Up - Justus Kotze: Justus has had a pretty good year: He won the Maloof Am's and paid off his student loan in one go! Plus he got the December Issue's Close Up. One of Cape Town's finest styling it in and around the streets of the Western Cape.
