  • @mycroftm That's how you learn how to improvise by copying licks and phrases from the jazz greats. It takes a long time but eventually you'll make it your own when you integrate these from various artists.

  • this is a great way to learn how to improvise by getting actual lines under your fingers, rather than scales/modes. but he has source code dvds that explain in more detail and 2 ticket to improv dvds which explain how to piece lines together over various chords.

  • How does he teach improvisation if all you learn is the solos he's already made up?
