Merry Wives if Windsor - Duel over Anne Page, part 1

Parson Hugh Evans and Justice Robert Shallow Esq. wish to set up a marriage between George Page's daughter Anne, and Justice Shallow's emptyheaded cousin, Abraham Slender.

Meanwhile, Anne's mother, Meg Page, wants Anne to marry Dr. Caius, the French physician.

Anne, however, has plans of her own.

Excerpts from high-school production of Merry Wives, produced and directed by Jonah Cohen and Emmy Miller, spring of 2007.

Miller and Cohen have put up 15 Shakespearean productions with high school students at The Shipley School in the past 6 years, and have directed and produced for Philadelphia Shakespeare Festival (Twelfth Night for Summer YPC 2005) and the Echolalia Theater Company.

Amazing how some people are so simple minded. One of the greatest playwrights in history and is questioned by an ignorant person that calls a comedic masterpiece shit. Shame on you and your intelligence. Embrace differences not ridicule them

This & Midsummer Nights Dream are the funniest plays I.M.O. I didn't find 12th Night that funny but the comedies have diff vibes, Mid is slapstick this is slap & tickle (well, in those days!)
