Yeah, If it wasn't for peter , Ben and Lizzy would have a tie and Ben Would have been very nervous that Lizzy will steal his crown.

Peter saved the day
-
what i meant was that if Elizabeth answered Peter's nutty professor question, she would have a tie with Ben .

Well since the invention of you tube nowadays, it seems that we should never have thrown our old videos away along time ago. I also a fan of SOTC too and i wish someone upload SOTC clips from the 90s.

With the question where Ben answered "snake", he was very lucky that the buzzer sound didn't go off because he took awhile to answer it. If he was on Temptation, I don't think he would have been so lucky has it seemed you had to answer the question before 3 seconds as opposed to this when it seems like you had to just start saying something in 3 seconds.
I love watching this era of $ale, it brings back so many memories. If anyone has episodes (especially from 1994 to 1999), please upload!
I found a video of Sale of The Century from a year before this one on YT. A champ on his final night was playing for everything when he started the fast money round at $20 when the other contestants were at $51 and $50.
The clip has had its audio replaced with biblical questions, but you can still see what's happening. Just in case anyone's interested, the video is titled "Book of Ezra (2 of 2)"

No, it's *THE* lot! lol
But still, how can that not be a lot?? A total of more than 3 times the average Australian annual wage? I would love to win that!!

Ben wasn't the last SOTC champ. There were at least six more champs before the show was canned in 2001.

That's right. What I said was that Ben "became the last person to win the lot on Tuesday, March 23, 1999 before Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? invaded Australian screens on Sunday, April 18". Meaning that those "at least six more champs" won during the time that Millionaire was on air.
