Community Painting in Penn Yan New York at the First Presbyterian Church

The painting was done in the first Presbyterian Church parking lot on July 25, 2009. Painting is a community effort., an impressive, 100 feet by 100 feet. The painting is of a Steamship Wm.L Halsey derived from a photo taken circa 1903. "Thanks" to the sponsors and volunteers for making it possible. Background music for this video is of the Penn Yan Community Chorus. On youtube pennyanchorus.

The music was chosen to go with the water theme of the painting. "The Water Is Wide" and "What a Wonderful World" because of the community spirit of the event. It was open to the public to participate whether a "church member" or not. The music was added to let people listen to the Penn Yan Community Chorus.

Certain types of music aren't for everyone. It seems the Penn Yan Community Chorus is good at what they do! I think "What a Wonderful World" is always a great selection, no matter the occasion.

This is wonderful, the music very appropriate for a church offering, gathering. Pat yourself Bob, and Team on the back please. I would do it, but I'm tubing from my home in Glenwood, Maryland.

Very nice. I get that it was in a church parking lot but the background music seemed out of place and I found it grating rather than enjoyable, so I had to mute it and unmute when Bob was speaking. Other than that it's a pretty cool video and a very neat event.
