Here's 3 of my juvinile Crested Geckos feeding on Blaptica dubia nymphs. The 2 smaller ones were hatched out Jan. 4th, 2008. I alternate between roaches and CGD for food. Enjoy!

  • what is the best kind of insects for crested geckos?

  • @LeopardGeckoFry in my opinion dubias. great source of protein and calcium if you gut load them right.

  • 1 more question but what do u house these guys in please respond i really like the idea (im starting to have crested babies of my own) also what holds what food up? did u buy it or make it?

  • @donius22 the feeding dish was bought a pangea reptiles (online-use google). I house them in Lee's kritter keepers. Smalls for babies and then move up in size accordingly. Adult get 20g size enclosures.

  • where do u buy roaches? i want to get them instead of crickets because crickets are really a pain lol, thanks

  • @donius22 you can find roaches online, reptile shows or possible local reptile shops.

  • My crested gex babies are mow a week old and i haven't seen them eat yet, what should i do? I have CGD mix up and in a shallow blow. pin head crickets walking around in a 6" shallow dish as well!

  • is this gecko free at home?! :)

  • very nice flame

  • @mac7613 Lol. you put food in there anytime at night, and they will just eat it when they feel like it, there will probably still be more there in the morning left, and if there is none you should try giving them more :P

  • what is the best time at night to feed the gecko ? :D

  • nope no heat they like it to be round room temp 68 to 80 any hoter they become stressed i think thy can tolorate

a lil colder -[= not for long tho and

it depends apon the rep and if u first get it don hold it or nothing for 2 weeks =]

just so it can adapt to its new home.

  • do they need any heat source? and i heard that it was un healthy to be active with them for more than 10 mins a day... is that true?
