Can I run Linux as my only OS on a completely new pc without losing the cd drive coz I need it

You just told that people must download a file. Put it on a disk and start the PC with the disk in the diskdrive.
you forgot to say or was wrong about:
-Enable 'boot from disk' in your bios. Because this is not always the case.
-Not a "Typical OS" and then refer to Firefox. :S . Firefox is almost the nr1 used browser in Windows at this time.

ok see u burn the iso file with a program like sonic to a cd or a dvd make sure u download the right on if for dvd or cd.I will make a video about it .K then look at it it will tell u.
