Slippin' Away - Original Song by Aleisha Gore

This is another song written during Deedee O'Malley's songwriting workshop. I wrote about losing friends and family and moving on...there is so much behind this song, it was a hard one to write because there was so much I wanted to say but I hope that it communicates how much I felt about it.

I'm not a singer. I'm a writer. So, for me to try this and sing is a miracle in and of itself...at a few points I got lost in my thoughts about my friends and almost cried so it's a very emotional song and my timing is awful. I look like I'm in pain, but it's my heart that's in pain.

So, please forgive my wretched singing and just feel the song and its meaning. I hope you love it for what it is...pure outpouring of affinity, loss, hope and reach to friends and loved ones...

This song sticks very easily, but you standing up makes it kind of uncomfortable...maybe the jacket doesn't help much either. Overall, the song is cute. Thanks for sharing!
