I cut and bring prickly pear from Texas to Indiana where I set them out.

  • I like the idea of planting cactus, since I have a few small ones here. Those prickly pear look rather fearsome to handle, but I do hope that they all appreciate their new surroundings. Thanks for sharing this video and I look forward to seeing how these develop in time :D

  • @MichaelSwan66 I have never tried them. But maybe if my cactus grow well then I might try to eat them.

  • your last two videos didn't show up for me ! the flat ones people eat them out here they burn off the needles cut them up and fry them in butter plus they get fruit on the tops of them that turn red and orange and there very sweet but you have to be careful when you peel the skin off tiny stickers ! looks like the one your wondering about might be a baby barrel cactus but not for sure
