@postrealitysyndrome agreed Hooky has a Shergold 6 string, which was used on a lot of his best work. He loves that guitar.

@belzondium That's not easy for NO. Fans know what to expect at a NO concert -- in-tune vocals is not it. I think that Hooky backing up Bernard made this happen.

PH was playing a regular 6 string guitar for the first part. There's a lot going on in the mix and much electronica but he seemed to be playing the jangly muffled strumming through the verses with some emphatic strums during the "confusion" part. He stops playing around 3:30 and by 3:50 he's got the 4-string bass. You can see the 4-string bass at ~5:10. PH does play a 6-string bass on some songs. If memory serves he used it a lot during the Ukranian Ball Room NYC show from 1981.
