  • @seikjo Don't be scared! It will take a few tries to get it right, but what doesn't?! When you k2tog that is a decrease, but when you YO you are adding on a stich. Usually K2tog would be used to make a peice smaller yes, but when you YO you not only add on the stich you just got rid of, but making a little hole to get the lacey effect. Hope this helps! :)

  • I didn't learn to cast one like that....hmmm...

    Also.... I'm scared to do those YO, and the k2tog because they are decreases. IF I keep doing them they are going to make my thing smaller won't it?

  • Thank you very much for this video. Have started lace knitting recently and been trying to find out exactly what lace casting on is. Strange but it's what I've always done.This is how my Nanna taught me to cast on so many years ago and I've always used it.
