@soccerchic121 In Japan, Twilight Zone is relatively unheard of (or just unknown) Second I read that TDS only has the disney branding but is not owned by disney (which got licensing to use TZ); the actual company would have to spend a ton of money just to use a theme that no one knows about in Japan. Third, the japanese have have their own style of supernatural crazieness
@soccerchic121 - There were a couple of reasons as to why they decided to use a different theme for the Japanese TOT. Besides royalty fees, as they have to secure permission to use any Twilight Zone references, East Asian people have somewhat different views about occultism and supernatural stuff, hence the lack of Sally Shine.
@rymotion1 Actually, I believe I read that they are fimilar with it, but since Disney themselves dont own Disneysea but a firm...Oriental something, owns it, and they dont have the right to the twilight zone, they had to do something completly different.
@soccerchic121 the towers in america are based on the TV show the twilight zone which is what a majority of Americans know but in other countries the show is not avalible because it's in english only that and the world is not fimiliar with the actual series the twilit zone
You couldn't even film the pre-show? At Disneyworld, there are no restrictions on filming the Pre-show. Not sure about the ride. They tell you not to film at the beginning of the pre-show?
@stitchcastle yes the biulding and ride are very difrent and awesome but i just don like how they made the pre show a cartoon

Because the Japanese aren't familiar with the "Twilight Zone" series so the Imagineers had to come up with something different in Tokyo's version.
