  • @datdo so where do you originate from? alaska? Also caribbeans were sent there whilst they were being traded via those seas through to europe. All caribbeans are originally african. maybe u need to research your own family before trying to come on here blabbing about what u supposedly researched. and how come chinese engineers living in your country assist their homeland as do russians, turkish , arabs, indians etc And you have the nerve to suggest your own race should not do so? ur a disgrace

  • @tech4156 by your logic, everyone is African by origin. Just because I share share a skin color with someone does not mean I am their kin. Personally I'm much more inclined to send aid to the Caribbean than Africa due to having closer roots there. I'm not trying to be a spokesperson for all those people but rather trying to show that NSBE could use its wealth and power more efficiently if it stays away from investing heavily in African projects.

  • @datdo im attacking you because your the on who decided to reply by coming up with excuses about why YOU and other afro-carribeans, african americans and european africans are too lazy to put back towards their country. Also, if you are black then yes you ARE african by origin. Your clueless, you have done NO research otherwise you'd know the two firms i work with and kknow everything else i said is TRUE. How about actually asking africans when doing your research instead of research via google

  • @tech4156 Why are you attacking me personally? I'm a black computer programmer based in New York and I spent the greater part of this year researching western involvement in the development of Africa. Also I never stated that the organizations were black. I just said the organizations failed to implement projects that had a lasting positive impact. Off the top of my head there are a couple of WHO initiatives and a water well project that exemplify this. And no... I'm not African.

  • @datdo okay name the organisation of black engineers that you refer to? thought so. At least the white people bother but the blacks seem not to want to help themselves. I am a computer engineer (black) based in europe and i give support and information to one of the 2 biggest IT organisations in africa based in (nigeria) and in (egypt) and they have said ACTUALLY "black westerners don't help with african engineering. So maybe you should get your facts right before you talk. Your'e not african.

  • @tech4156 that sort of thinking is part of the reason why Africa is full of poorly implemented projects started by westerners. If you look through recent African history you'd see that whenever a western organization, be it a government, an NPO, or anything else, started a project in Africa the results usually show that the effort is wasted due to lack of infrastructure, culture conflicts, or because the organization did not understand the nation's politics. This money could be better spent.

  • @datdo its obvious you dont know what the hell youre talking about. Who cares about how its adopted by native population? if you dont go over there and engage in ideas you will never know. You dont need a history lesson or to retrace your family back to stoneage to assist a nation or continent with your skills. In future make sense.

  • @tech4156 black heritage does not mean that they know the problems of Africa and how their solutions will be adopted by the native population. Also not all black engineers directly trace their origins to Africa or know much about their African heritage. In fact I'd posit that most do not.

  • @datdo oh so black engineers do not have african heritage or origins? WOW.

  • @tech4156 that's how Africa got messed up in the first place... from Westerns attempting to help Africans because they thought they knew what was best for the Africans...
